Hector has left a lasting impression on my life forever. I lived with his music and I will go to heaven with his music. I truly hope that Hector gave his heart to JESUS before he died. We love you Mr. Hector Lavoe. If any body knows about his last minutes, please write me on my email. Thanks and GOD BLESS

Great music! A Great Singer! With great hair and a great spirit! This guy totally loves and respects
the roots of his music and the sheer joy of music, and sings truthfully with full passion with deep urgent intensity and total authenticity with excellent diction and articulation. There’s something highly sensitive and vulnerable, very sweet and innocent and appealing in his face and in his nature. I really love this guy, he touches my heart and lifts up my spirits, his music is high energy and highly refined, totally captivating and inspiring…Music that makes you feel great to be alive!

Being a big Hector Lavoe fan just like Angelo,Hector has also left a lasting impression on my life forever.I too live with his music. I’m a percussionist, have been since the start of the 70’s and I know all of his music in percussion.Although I play in a salsa band, Hector’s music will live in me forever. If there are other musicians that feel Hector’s music send me an e-mail. Thanks

I am an American rock n roll musician who has recently discovered the music of Hector Lavoe through the movie, El Cantante.
I loved the movie, as I do most biographies. The music was red hot so I bought the movie soundtrack on cd and absolutely loved it, but I still wanted more. I ordered The Complete Studio Albums (vol 1), and received: La Voz, De Ti Depende, Comedia and Recordando A Felipe Pirela. Hector is literally the only thing I’ve been listening to for weeks with the exception of some Celina Gonzalez.
There is something so special and unique about the vibe and feeling of Hector Lavoe’s music. As a musician and lover of many genres of music, I have great appreciation for the complex but catchy melodies, and deep, luxurious bass progressions. The slick, seductive lure of the horns and satin smooth vocals of Lavoe, harmonizing with the music as well as with his own voice…is a real addiction for my ears. I cannot praise him enough.
Take El Todopoderoso, for instance… Even though the subject matter is not about partying, it makes you want to dance and it sounds better than the homogenized popular crap on the radio today. It’s a shame that most people fail to explore different music.

Yo soy un Americano rock and roll cantante y musico quien tiene descubierto recientemente la musica de Hector Lavoe por la pelicula, El Cantante.
Me encanta la pelicula, me encanta la mayoría de biografias. La musica era caliente rojo, asi que compre la banda sonora en CD y absolutamente encanto, pero Yo queria mas. Yo compre Hector Lavoe: El Estudio Completo Albumes, (Volumen Uno). Contiene: La Voz, De Ti Depende, Comedia y Recordando A Felipe Pirela. Hector es literalmente lo unico he estado escuchando para semanas, excepto por Celina Gonzalez.
Hay algo tan especial y exclusivo de la vibracion y la sensacion de la musica de Hector Lavoe. Como musico y amante de muchos generos de la musica, tengo gran aprecio por el complejo, pero melodias pegadizas, y profunda, de lujo bajo progresiones. La mancha, seductor atractivo de los cuernos y satinado suave voz de Lavoe, armonizando con la musica, asi como con su propia voz…es una verdadera adiccion para mi oidos. No puedo alabar lo suficiente.
El Todopoderoso Tome, por ejemplo…Aunque el tema no se trata de la fiesta, te hace querer bailar y suena mejor que la mierda homogeneizada populares en la radio el dia de hoy. Es una lastima que la mayoria de la gente no para explorar diferentes de musica.

El mundo no seria el mismo si Hector Lavoe , no hubiera nacido, fue el mejor , en una epoca en la q estaban todos los grandes .
Y sobre todos ellos el era el cantante de los cantantes.
Recuerdo cuando lo vi en NY , me podian tirar un tiro en la cabeza y no sentia , estaba tan concentrado en lo q veia q nada me importaba , depues de haberlo visto ya puedo irme a descanzar en paz . VI AL MAESTRO DE MAESTROS, VI A HECTOR LAVOE .

Ay Manuel de verdad siento envidia de la buena por ti, yo nunca lo pude ver en persona, estaba chiquita para sus tiempos, pero gracias a la tegnologia lo veo todos los dias!!! VIVA EL CANTANTE DE LOS CANTANTES!!!!
